So, for those of you who follow my new Youtube channel @ http://youtube.com/huntsmacker, I've recently been playing some Descent 3 and Alien Isolation there - I wrapped up SOMA a couple of weeks ago, and I plan to play some more D3 and D2 in the coming weeks. Once Alien ends I'll need something suitable to replace it that is also from the scary / survival-horror genre - but I don't want to play any slapstick Indie games or games that cater to headcam players such as Slender, SCP or whatever.
So, anyone got some recommendations? I'll gladly play anything from the last few years.
I won't play FEAR, Penumbra or Amnesia titles because I've been through those games several times.
Re: Recommend a game
#2I have a copy of Amnesia(I think the second one), but I only ever think to play it at night. So, that's not happening.
What about Outlast? (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... p_exbbu233 ) These guys did a run-through, and it seemed fittingly horror-ish.

#3Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with Outlast to consider it for an LP. As for Amnesia, only the first game is really worthy of attention. Also since I'm going to be visiting my parents for a few weeks, I won't have access to my usual beast. So that means older games for the time being

#4Looks like 'Dying Light' is a good game to pick up. I'll be playing that in the new year!

#8It's still a relatively new thing. I've had a channel since 2006, but I've only recently been posting new videos.
I expect to do some more Descent stuff very soon, been a few weeks now.
I'm familiar with STALKER and played it a bit. Just didn't appeal to me really.

Re: Recommend a game
#9Got horribly addicted to Factorio, not even sure why, it's sort of a RTS/City builder/Tower Defence game. It's not original but it is an excellent example of how to execute that kind of game.

#11I knew there was a thread for this, at least 1 anyway. Last post is almost 4 years on. Anyway you wanted a space game, Project Freedom. Was gonna upload an ISO but it's on steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3481 ... t_Freedom/. The last time I played this on Win 7 I think it was glitchy but I can't remember why and I know the OS requirements say XP. I may have mentioned this on a forum or post before too
