So today one of my ex-monitors started acting up - At first I thought the backlight had died, but instead it was flashing on and off at about 3 second intervals. So about 3 seconds off (power light red) then maybe a quarter of a second on (power light blue). The monitor clicks every time it does this. I thought that was it and the monitor had reached the end of it's life (it's from 2008, has had one backlight replaced) but after an hour of flashing it suddenly made a 'whirring' noise and came on. Now it's working fine.
I've noticed the adaptor has been buzzing lately. So is there a chance of repairing this monitor, or shall I just get it replaced?
Re: Any monitor experts around?
#2Sounds.... fun. Have you considered having your monitor exercised?

#4In the monitor, or the power supply?

#5In the monitor naturally. So that's another few years out of this cheap junk I guess.

#6Huzzah! I'm still running CRTs for two out of my three screens.
