I used to run dual screens (one was a 1600x1200 CRT, which was frankly too large to be worth the effort) on a 8800 GTS with 320MB RAM, so it depends what you're doing on them.darthdoull wrote:
Well, I want to get dual screens, I'm currently using a 22" 2ms LCD monitor. So, I'll be getting something similar. More specifically I want all this power so I can handle outrageously huge images in Photoshop or render animations with ease. It'll be a bonus for video games too I suppose.
As for huge photoshop images... how huge? I have just opened a 2048x2048 texture psd (a smidgen under 100 mb) - stored on a slow external HDD - to check, with max and football manager running, and not encountered any issues. This on a fairly old PC too (C2D E6750, 2GB RAM, average mobo), so you should be ok IMO. Not sure about animations, though... although if you're really splashing out for that specific purpose, maybe have a look into the really high end dedicated cards (like, IIRC, the Quadro FX series - might be stupid expensive though).
Looking at your spec, you should be more than fine IMO.
