CONVERTED: StratComm's Vasudan Fleetpack+

#1
Repost from HLP:

Since ShadowGorrath said someone wanted these on IRC.
Originally, I did these for EndWar, but seeing as its inactive (and that they're public release anyway). I decided to make myself look better by releasing these conversions I did.
Some of these are incomplete (notably, the Naunet, Pharaoh, and Apophis), but I'll...eventually get to fixing them.

Since I'm too lazy to write a new OP:
As "practice" for model conversion, I've been converting Stratcomm's modeldump to POF format for use. I lack the skill to really do LODs and stuff though. They'll come with time, even on the ones I already did - I saved all the max files. Feel free to use these for your -other- mods. I mean, I sure am :P

Used thumbnails as they hide the lack of AA in the PCS shots (and instead make them look preeeety). Click to see the larger (and uglier) images.

Shameful little secret: I haven't actually tested these (except the GTCa Pheonix), but they theoretically should work without a hitch.
->Tested the Pharaoh. Works without a hitch...I think... POF is update for anyone who downloaded before 06/30/2009.

VASUDAN

*Slightly smaller than the Asarte. Real quick to do since it's small, and I found out how to mirror turrets properly.

*Mostly already done by StratComm, only minor pof data fixes were done to this one, hence has LODs and debris!

GVCv Petbe (Corvette)

*Completely returreted, eliminating the glitchy turrets on the original. LODs and debris included!

GVD Pharaoh (Carrier/Destroyer)

*Fresh off the converter. Smaller looking beam turrets for AAAs, bigger ones for beams. Also not many big beam cannons on this one, mostly small anti-fighter guns. Ten launch paths from five hangars.

GVBCa Apophis (Artillery Destroyer)

*Slightly underturreted, as when converting this I was thinking along the lines of the GVD Apothess - you can probably see the resemblance - main spinal cannon for sniping stuff, little else. May get a re-run as I didn't differentiate beam cannon sizes.

Aw man, this is pro, Droid.

You know I've been looking for nice custom Vasudan warships to use in Cerberus? Like, for ages I've been looking! Now they are here! But I've come so far with development I dunno how I can use them now.

Still, you've done some wonderful stuff here. Congrats!

Are there any other Stratcomm models still floating about? I know there are a fair few unaccounted for, like that unknown corvette which mysteriously appeared on the BP GTVA tech database page.

That's the GTMf Sparta, just retabled (and maybe re-turreted). It's in the Terran fleetpack.

There's also the GTDn Archangel with the ungodly massive forward cannon of which there is a half-complete High Poly version in the modeldump but I don't think there's that much demand for yet another terran juggernaut.

Rather not have to download a whole mod to get one ship. And it isn't on freespacemods by itself.

Doesn't matter really, wasn't planning on using it for anything really . Was just going to add to the collection, that's all.
