Presenting version 0.9 of the Shivan Datafiles for fs2_open. This new version capitalizes on fs2_open's new capabilities, namely adding some player-allowed shivan bombers (and their interface art), a new main_hall (with slightly messed up buttons), bundling lightspeed's supercool weaponpack, fixing a whole crapload of problems with weapons, adding a crapload of personas, among other things.

Shivan Datafiles v0.9

The Shivan Datafiles are designed as a booster set of data for
any shivan campaign, and it currently holds the following features:

- All of the shivan ships are now player-playable
- All shivan ships have interface art
- Wingman, large ship, support and command personas are provided
- Empty message wav files provided for personas - Shivan voice samples provided.
- 4 cOmmunication animations are provided for the personas.
- Redisigned main hall
- Shivified warp (both 3D and 2D)
- Red nebulas and planets
- Lightspeed's shivan weapons pack has been bundled. Thanks Lightspeed!
- All shivan weapons have interface art and are player usable.


TERMS OF USE: You may distribute, modify, take parts of, or otherwise utilize the
files contained within the VP file that came with this readme in any shape, way or
form that you choose, provided that you mention me (Blackhole) _AND_ the fact that
you used the shivan datafiles in your credits.

shorter weapon names

shivan-exlusive set of missles equal in size and diversity to the GTVA arsenal

same for primaries

new shivan ships added on from inferno/fs1

more original content (it cant ALL be [v] stuuf)

I left them as the guy named them. I assume your referring to the 3 weapons that have long names, the shivan light/heavy/mega laser. I could just rip off the whole "shivan * laser' part off.

Actually, yes it can, espiecally in this regard. If you want inferno/fs1 ships, put them in yourself. This mod was designed to be a supplement usable by any shivan campaign and sticking in the 20 or so shivan ships from inferno would be complete overkill. It would be unnessacary bloat and this things gotten way too big already. Its also not the point of the datafiles. Maybe in a later version if there is a high demand for it, but really, putting in 20 shivan ships should be at the campaign maker's descretion.

As for the guns, i already bundled in 3 shivan secondaries, unlocked the 2 existing shivan bombs, and bundled 8 new guns. Perhaps a few more secondaries would be useful but that's plenty of guns!

heres the SF dragon with a fixed eyepoint so you can aling your guns using the reticle. (before it was weird looking and awkward)
