How would you edit a recorded movie clip? for example;

Also, how would you create a straight-off brand-new animation, similar to what was edited in onto that last clip but on its own?

record from tv -> send to virtuadub -> cut and splice -> tweak in Imageready, or whatever other Adobe product does video work -> send back to virtuadub -> etc?
