Probably our ISP trying to get us to spend money

That's why my server runs as a stand alone with nothing else on it. If I could I'd set up a Linux server or the like to be honest. All it really has to do is maintain a firewall and pass the internets around to the other systems on the Network.

My Dad's computer is the worst for spyware, since he's not very computer literate, but that's improved a lot since I cunningly installed Firefox and replaced his IE shortcut with a Firefox one but still using the IE icon. It actually took him about 3 days to figure out anything was different

Funnily enough I don't think they're going to charge us, because I went over the limit in November too (by a little).

I'm not surprised. If you'd told him that you'd upgraded IE I doubt he would ever have guessed that he wasn't running IE

I just noticed that the BT website now lists all the big packages as unlimited bandwidth usage again. That's strange! It was 40GB not long ago.
