See! This is the sort of s### that makes me not trust your recollections. I didn't remember you saying anything on that thread so when you posted this I checked. You said nothing bad on that thread and only posted twice. Yet you're absolutely certain you were rude to him there and only one other place.

It happened more than twice. And it happened on threads other than the ones you've mentooned. And it didn't stick to disputing his arguments.

You know what? I'm sick of arguing the point with you. If you believe you acted in an appropriate manner on HLP which means you shouldn't have been banned keep on believing it. I'm not an admin there. I don't have to give a s### about why you were banned

Basically a discussion got started about banning and how and why admins do it. And someone started acting like there should be a list of offenses and how long you get banned for them. To which I posted this.

If you need it in black and white here's the real policy we operate. MatthewPapa runs this site. He can ban anyone he likes for any reason he likes and there isn't a goddamn thing anyone can do about it. If he decides you're a w#nk#r he no longer wishes to associate with then you're gone.

The mods and admins work as his deputies. We can ban anyone we like (except Matt or another mod) for any reason we like. If we want to ban someone for being a w#nk#r then we'll do it. And there isn't a goddamn thing any of you can do about it if Matt agrees that they should be gone.

They're not a list of rules because we don't ban people based on crimes. We ban people cause we're sick of them. Either we're sick of them causing us problems directly or we're sick of them causing problems that we have to clean up. That's why a list of infractions is pointless. Forums in general don't work that way and GW certainly doesn't.

And that's why ngtm1r having such trouble figuring out why he was banned. He expects to be tried based on just what he did on that thread.
