'Cuz I'm trying to confirm something before I make myself look idiotic before the world.
I need a translation of "long lance".
I have a suspicion of what it was originally, but I suspect it didn't translate correctly the first time to become "long lance". I think it was originally no-dachi, but since that doesn't properly translate to English... (It describes an object which has no equivalent in European terms; a long polearm...lance, polearm, lance, polearm...you see?)

Those give direct to written, I was hoping for the English pronounciation, since I can't read Japanese either.

Be careful she doesn't misinterpret your question as a bad pick-up line.Taristin wrote:I know a girl who speaks japanese here on campus. If I see her, and remember, and know what Im asking, I may ask her for you. No guarentees (if that wasnt obvious from the sentence above)
