I've done all nighters before. I did several in New York (almost all nighters anyway) - But most of the time I do an all nighter - It's usually playing a computer game, like EVE online in the early hours. Before that, I used to play D3 multi in the early hours. And then there is obsessive DVD watching. But I've never done an all-nighter on college work :P

Hehe.

I'd say overall its more difficult. Unless your studying porn or something, you don't have the addreneline to keep you alert.
After a while you just can't think straight or read properly.

I like how my recent spree of all nighters turned out though. After a week of little sleep and irratic sleeping intervals, I now goto bed earlier and wake up with the sun.
Whereas I'd usually goto bed fairly late, (after midnight or something) and wake up after midday the following day. :p

Hmm.. Well, if I'm to catch up with what I've missed.. I estimate I will have to work until... 6am.. So, no point in going to sleep. ;)

There is a time when you get really tired in the night - If you fight it, eventually you wake up again and don't need sleep until the following day. At least, thats how it worked with me before.

Yeah, on average if you beat the 3am milestone you should be ok. Should. But you can't always be sure.
Going for a jog or having a shower usually helps to stay alive a bit.

how often do you work? I've worked a 48 and a 56 hour week last month alone, and should be doing the same this week, and can't afford an all-nighter... If i did, i'd be unable to think...
