OMG!! I talked to Elton John!!!!!

Elton John was on CNN tonight. You could call in and ask him questions. I was one of three who got to speak to him! I SPOKE TO ELTON JOHN!!!!! MY IDOL!!!!! I was literally shaking as I talked to him. I'm more than a little crazy for a while you'll all know why. Soooooooooooo happy right now. Not gonna sleep tonight.....

No I didn't say something stupid... I asked him what bands he was currently listening to and said I'm 17 and have been a fan of his since I was 9. And yes I know he's a knight (Sir Elton Hurcules John).

I almost did (wrote down what I was gonna say to prevent this from happening). Didn't actually need the notes but, they helped organized my thoughts.
Yes my sig only lists 2 people but, these 2 people are the most influential in my life.

Elton John is the primary reason for me not doing drugs and alcohol. I know what he went through the 16 years he was on them and what his life is like now after being sober for 14 years. When he got into rehab in the early 90's he was an aloholic, a drug addict, and was bulimic (all at the same time)! His music and life have improved so much since he got clean. His music has also helped me through some of the tougher times of my life.

After he got clean:
He found a parter that he's been together with for 11 years now.

He founded the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) that raises money to raise AIDS awareness, help AIDS victims, and find a cure for the disease.

He wrote the music to The Lion King and Aida (both of which are highly acclaimed shows).


RDA is just awesome! He's inspired me to "Macgyver" all sorts of stuff. I love watching him in SG1 and MacGyver. He's a great actor who cares a lot about the world (he is a member of the board of trustees for challengers boys and girls club).

Could care less to talk to a rich person or actor. Unless they would give me some of their money, than I would love to chat with e'm. :razz:

Fair enough. I'm not sure MacGuyvering is really something to be cheered, but other than that, yeah, cool.

Ah, yeah, that's understandable.

I would say that's what ITS does but I'm fairly sure the MacGuyver could come up with a more stable network than they run...
