I'm glad I'm no good at economics, personally I'm in favour of a 'one tax fits all' system, where you pay one sum in PAYE and that's it.

Had to look that one up... Pay As You Earn. :p

I'd prefer a sales tax to an income tax, because it encourages savings, among other things. But I'll take what I can get, and a single income tax is fine with me. Anything to get rid of the hulking monstrosity that is the IRS. :p

Why not income+sales, for example? And soforth. To be honest, I have no idea what Kazans' math is all about anyways.

We already have an income and sales tax.

I'd prefer the sales tax only option too. I hate this sales tax BS. (I know that Europeans pay more income tax than americans, but I'm american. I want to be vocal about it :p)

Europeans get more though, IIRC. National health service springs to mind (especially in France)

Yeah, we don't have anything like that. And the moment someone proposes it, they'll be labelled a socialist, and smitten. :doubt: A shame, really, since we really need a health care system... :(
