Holding of hands?liberator wrote:Yes. I object to overt public displays of affection, gay or straight. At home is okay, in private is okay, but not in public.

Me & Sharon almost permanently hold hands when we are out, unless we are carrying shopping. It's nice after this long to still be so close
Displays of affection I have no problem with whatsoever, however, I tend to feel a bit awkward if they are getting too intense, hetero- or homosexuals. Though, that's really my problem, and it doesn't take many calories just to smile and walk away

Good point. I think there is a responsibility on every person to take into account the opinions/personalities of those around them, too many people don't realise that they are not the only people in the world with thoughts, feelings and opinions.
But then, possibly if more people thought like that we wouldn't be in all the shite we are in right now

my veiw is simple: anyone who goes about saying theyre a good american canNOT feel even the remotest dislike for anyone who they dont have a reason for. all the people i hate i have good reasons for.
while you really oughtnt do 'public displays of affection', as you put it, theres no *law* against it - wait, yes there is... meh, whatever
- i dont mind it at all. still, some people dont like it. thats fair enough...
my statement still stands that anyone who will assault/deny rights to gays just becasue theyre gay is no better than the nazis.
on a happier note, it seems like temporal displacement has gone away
