How about making a red Vasudan tile for the rear cover? Have it changed from that gasey look (like something you find in a bussadc ollector), to something influenced by Vasudan History of the "destroyers"?

As for the Hecate. WOW! I always secretly liked the Elephant but now it looks decent. As for the "antenna", screw that! Make it a RAM!!! Even Elephants have tusks... IF you can code in ramming weapons (make it a destroyable subobject you get to use ONCE) and then when it impacts the enemy you take a little damage but they take MORE (as it is desinged to do). Think of the possibilities "Ramming Speed #1!" :D

Then again you all know I'm crazy...

Reminder: the point of the updates is to make the models look better, not substantively change design elements.

Besides, you don't have to code in ramming... it's a clever FRED trick.

Bump mapping is cool, but since FS2 doesn't support it(yet), most people are "meh, maybe later" when it comes to something like that.

Besides he poopooing the whole "ramming" idea.

Grim, I don't have a problem with it per se... it's just lately you're bumpmap this, bumpmap that, and I wanted to know why.

For that matter, remind me what exactly it is in the first palce... I've forgotten.

greyscale image, you load it up and it messes about in the rendering process so it looks like the surface with the bumpmap is... well, bumpy.

and i havnt been 'bumpmap this bumpmap that', really. just the parthenon and the sobek and the hecate... :?

*UPDATE*

I am finished with the modelling and mapping of this mesh. I'm just waiting for Styxx to come online so he can help me work out a fix on the conversion problem I'm having. (Multi-part turret barrels are being offset for no reason)
