So get one of the Companions as your... well, companion. They are set as essential, so can't die.

Ok that'll do for Skyrim pics I think. Will be paying more attention to Visionsector and maybe Saucysector..

Skyrim is much better than Oblivion on pretty much every level, but the Bethesda needs a new animation team ASAP. And a UI designer, for that matter.
