Bah, converting's a b**ch. I just found out that the model was off-center. Reconversions FTL

Okay, those side-facing multiparts don't work. I've spent two days trying to fix them, but they keep rotating and firing in wrong directions. Imma post the model over at HLP, and see if someone can trace the problem; if not, we'll just have to go with single-parts.

Sidemounted multipart turrets haven't worked since some time before the FS2 Demo.

FSO supposedly fixed that. But I haven't seen a single ship that has working side-mounted multiparts, so I suggest you don't bother trying to fix that, FSF, and just go with regular turrets instead.

I have.

you just need to set the fvec and uvec right.

The Zakros has a working rear-facing multipart. But that's just straight aft, not too hard to set up. These, on the other hand, are pretty complicated.
Well, four of them seem to be working fine now, thanks to Scooby-Doo; the two remaining ones (12 and 13) keep doing weird things. I'll just make those single-parts. (Great, another reconversion...)

As a possible replacement for the Pie Gun, would this be going in the right direction?

It looks like one of those cheap metal fans you see in run-down African cafés. :P

"Rad" and "like a cheap metal fan"... Umm...

I filled up the empty areas a little, is this better or worse? Can the Ancients have a mechanical-looking gun like this, or should I go back to a purely organic look?

More than a year later and it still is being worked on? I think it was done and then released in the 3.6.12 version of ASW Act I. Maybe I'm thinking of a different HTL ASW warship.

It was done and released in the 3.6.12 version, correct. But people were complaining so much about the "pie gun" that I'm redoing it now (as well as taking the opportunity for some optimization here and there).

Esarai and Hades suggested to round it some... so here. I also removed the largest rings. I kinda like this incarnation, might call it final if no-one objects :P
