No, it was a few seconds. To be exact, about 20 seconds (3 volleys of smartbombs). The time delay is because of the server trying to catch up with the killmails.

it's been a while since ive played, but what happens when your ship is destroyed is a pod comes out of it
if your pod is still in the area when another smartie cycle goes lag or not youre back in a station
