That shot of the Hyperion firing forward batteries screams "BSG influence" at me. Not that it's a bad thing.

Odd note: did anyone else notice they showed fleets mixed on funny lines? They were Caldari/Gallente and Minmatar/Amarr. I've always sworn we won't get the war we expect, but...wtf d00d?

Very BSG feel to it, but then, there's a somewhat Eve feel to the BSG style of filming, since Eve came first iirc.

Aside from the camera, I don't see the BSG similarity. That camera style is so often used now. Ah, and BSG started with the miniseries in 2003, so it would've been in production around EVE's release.

Well, the camera effect effectively is the BSG style, I suspect it's one of those fluke 'dual evolution' things ;)
