there IS another option... look at the manuals, work out a mathematical formula that makes the bombers look right, makes the fighters look right etc, we did that for WC:U as a result there are no scaling problems.
I'm actually doing that...

Well start with WC3 and use WC1 and WC2 as referrence.

First...

Patrol Fighter
WC1: N/A
WC2: 10.2 meters P-64 Ferret
WC3: N/A

Light fighter
WC1: 20 meters Hornet
WC2: 12.4 meters F-54 Epee
WC3: 20 meters Arrow

Medium Fighter
WC1: 24 meters F-44 Rapier II
WC2: 19.0 meters F-44 Rapier II (basically the same ship shrunk 5 meters)
WC3: 27 meters F-86 Hellcat V

Heavy Fighter
WC1: 36 meters Raptor
WC2: 23.6 meters F-57 Sabre
WC3: 34 meters HF-66 Thunderbolt VII / 32 meters F-103 Excalibur

The size differences in WC2 make no sense.

I strongly recommend against "making them what sizes they look like". None of the WC3 fighters except the Excalibur and the Thunderbolt look their size. I'd say we keep the WC1 and WC3 sizes the same. They all fit into the same size range. I recommend we simply change WC2 to match with WC1 and WC3.

Here are my WC2 recommendations for fighter sizes.

Wraith: This is the one I chose first because I noticed the discrepancy here...

In WC Academy, they're 16 meters, and in WC Armada, they're 35 meters. My solution is to average them... 16+35 = 51. 51/2 = 25.5 meters

So my recommendation is to make the Wraith 25.5 meters, which is about right for most medium fighters (Scimitar = 25 meters, Rapier II = 24 meters, Hellcat V = 27 meters)

Therefore
Wraith: 25.5 meters

Now I'll list the fighter stats and I'll justify my explanations...

PATROL FIGHTERS
Ferret: 16.25625 meters *

I used the same ratio as the Armada and the Academy Wraith
35/16 = 2.1875
So... 10.2 x 2.1875 = 22.3125
Average 10.2 + 22.3125 = 32.5125
Divide by 2 = 16.25625
Therefore: I used the same ratio, took the WC2 size, and the modified size, then averaged them.

LIGHT FIGHTERS
1.) Hornet: 20 meters (same)

2.) Epee: 19.7625 *
12.4 + 12.4(35/16) = X
12.4 + 12.4(2.1875) = X
12.4 + 27.125 = 39.525
39.525/2 = 19.7625

3.) Arrow: 20 meters (same)

MEDIUM FIGHTERS
1.) Scimitar: 25 meters (same)
2.) Rapier: 24 meters*
I simply propose keeping the Rapiers 24 meters long even in WC2.
3.) Hellcat V: 27 meters (same)

HEAVY FIGHTERS
1.) Raptor: 36 meters (same)
2.) Sabre: 26.71 meters or 28 meters
The sabre is very wide in span, so I felt using the previous ratio would be inappropriate. The ship would be too big to fit on a carrier because of it's width (it probably couldn't even fit outside a smaller capships flight-bays). So I used a ratio of 24/19 (Rapier WC1, to Rapier WC2) averaged against the WC2 size to produce a slightly larger, but still reasonable size...

23.6 + 23.6 (24/19) = X
X/2 = New Length

3.) Thunderbolt VII: 34 meters (same)
4.) Excalibur: 32 meters (same)

Bombers
WC1: N/A
WC2
1.) Broadsword: 36 meters (I actually think this could work)
2.) Crossbow: 24 sounds too small for hauling 4 torpedoes.
3.) Longbow: 38 (Same)

These are my recommendations. I want the WC2 fighters to be within the same size range as the WC3 fighters. I'm still working on stats for the Kilrathi fighters.

I want the larger design because it flows with the timeline better.

And the WC3 fighters are outdated, granted, but the Excal is brand new and it's the larger size, lending credence to the larger-size theory.

I know I come off difficult, but I'm trying to make all of them flow toghether and establish a continuuity.

Do you guys understand my point of view...

So I'll elaborate when I'm not sleep-deprived and establish a more precise mathematical formula...

Have any of you considered the far simpler method of comparing the fighters with the bodies of the people next to them?
No. I'll tell you why.

In scenes on the Victory in WC3, the fighters do seem a bit small, but the carrier does too. If you measured the carrier out, it would probably only measure out 700 feet.

The carrier is supposed to be 720 meters, not feet. So that would mean that everything except the people are 1/3rd their normal scale.

Gevattar Lars had a solution with the WC-Standoff modification (which by the way had a fly-through fight-deck on the Tarawa), who's idea basically involved making the Raptor's cockpit smaller (36-meter fighter) to show it's massive size.
