I was thinking today - I've played dozens of shooters and have yet to see a game that has a simple audio taunt system like Descent 3 does. To be honest taunts can be annoying, but they can make for a great laugh too when they aren't over used. For example I would've expected to see taunts in a game like Red Faction, which was made by the same guys. Has anyone encountered other games with audio taunts?

Wolfenstein: ET has a good system. Good luck finding a server without a hacker, though.

Valve's system is too annoying to be of any use, though.

Hmmm, there's always Tribes & Tribes II, I guess. But they're mostly dead (or they were when I last checked).

ET has pre-loaded ones that are almost always obnoxious or stupid.

Why not hunter?

Because it's not an audio taunt system built into the game. No one used Ventrillo in 1999.
