What resolution is your desktop?

I tried 1600x1200 once, but my monitor won't support it... I don't think I'd want to keep it there becuase it's slow enough as is.
I use it because the icons in max take less room.

You could shrink the icon size in windows...?
IIRC, its the DPI setting?

I sometimes use 1600x1200 when working with 3D programs, but normally I run 1280x960 or 1152x768. Sometimes I even run 800x600 when I'm just browsing the web, so I can read the text without glasses. My monitor is teh coolness!

Nothing that cool, just a Dell TFT 21". It's really high quality, so that's why I like it.

Mm. Been thinking about that myself. I'm currently using a GF5700, and will replace it at some point. What upgrade do you recommend? I'm looking for something so powerful that I can run 1600x1200 widescreen and even FRAPS at the same time, all while drinking tea and browsing the forum.

Well, my own card is an X1600, got it pretty cheap from Novatech (100 quid) and it really does do the job quite nicely

Hm. If I had the cash, I'd get one of these GF7900 - Even though 16x AGP isn't supported by my mobo. How old is the X1600? I'm looking for something with a good bang for a buck (and it cant be a high voltage one).
