Hacker wannabes

Why is it, that every one on the internet who thinks they have skillz, assumes that everyone they face, never heard of dynamic IP's and is completely incapable of dealing with them?

"IP Bans don't work, he's on dialup"

"Well, then, I'll ban the whole class c and call the ISP and tell them. And when other customers of theirs complain, I'll send them a form letter explaining what happened and who did it, and they can call the ISP and complain."

"Oh"

I have been playing ping pong with 2 different "hackers" the last few days, it's actually entertaining to see what they will try, a little like chess, except my opponents are monkeys. They have started to get surprised when I find them, tell them I found them, and administer the akill. The best part is, this one jackass is doing all my work for me, he keeps cycling thru proxies, which is allowing me to build and up to date list again :)

For some reason, they think I will grow bored and forget about them, when in reality they have the attention spans of your average hummingbird.

It's fun, but, it's all too common. It's like there is a manifesto out there that says "if you are a hacker, nobody knows more about the internet than you, not even the guy that has been doing this since there WAS an internet"

Important safety tip: Not every system administrator is a moron.

Thanks for listening :)

Some kid in my I.T. class decided he'd try and show us he was a hacker. He opened DOS and I smacked him over the head ;)
Ninety-nine percent of women kiss with their eyes closed; which is why it's so difficult to identify a rapist.

Ph34r the DOS-Hackers! It's the IP-handling tools that make them so deadly ;)
