This is really exciting. It's a shame it took this long, but it happened. In the Descent Dev Discord(zico's old server for Dxx-Rebirth), they're working on improvements. I think they've already sorted out proper aspect ratio handling.

Don't worry about fancy. I liked the solid-colored black background. If it has a fancy image background, cool, if not, I'm okay with it.

How hard is it to swap out a background/text/link color? Maybe the classic gold-on-black, and a more typical black-on-white would be an alternate?

Awesome!

Overload feels like Descent. Keep in mind there's a bug in the final version of the teaser where the joystick max. rotational velocity is slower than mouse.

I think this version is supposed to fix that. I know you could assign directions to the hat, but the in between directions weren't working. That is: You can slide up or left, but not up/left.

Honestly, I've loved playing the game so far. The challenge mode is a blast.

That sounds about right. My playtime is woefully low to fairly talk about D:U, however I feel as though your thoughts hit the nail on the head.

I backed the project. I liked the playable teaser they released. It feels like a Descent game.
