Title: Abalyon 6: Vertigo Hive 4-18-97 Author: Cameron "Stryker" Fultz Seattle (Bothell), WA Editors Used: Descent Mission Builder 2.1, Paint Shop Pro 3.0, HAMM 1.12 Description: VERTIGO bots! But this time they are building a hive and you're not welcome. There is NOW justification for earthshakers. This is the final level of the Abalyon Series How to build a Vertigo Level: Start with modifiying one - put all the Vertigo bots you want to use into one cube - do it with this level if you wish. Save as "your new file *.hog") Get rid of the rest of the cubes since they are mine. Now build your level. You'll notice that all the Vertigo bots are "illegal objects" - that's OK. Now when you want to play the level and see the Vertigo bots, you need to modify your .hog file. I use the HAMM 1.12. Extract the aba6.ham file from my aba6.hog. add the aba6.ham file to your hog. Rename the aba6.ham file to your hog file name. Then go into a text editor and modify your mission file *.ms2. You must add "z" as the first letter of the first line (zname = ****) then you must add at the bottom without spaces between words name=**** (**** is the name of your ham file - but don't add the ".ham" part) - look at the aba4.ms2 or aba6.ms2 file for the example. Now when you play, you will have a Vertigo level - however, if you modify the level you must repeat this process to see the Vertigo bots again. I'm sure it will be fixed some day so that we can all use Vertigo bots a little easier. ---Level Info--- Single Player: yes CO-OP: yes FLAG: yes ANARCHY: yes Bugs: None ---Construction Info--- Build Time: Basically 30 hrs Extra Credit: Brian Kroll ([email protected]) for beta testing all the Abalyon series Glenn Thorson ([email protected]) for beta testing this level My wife and four kids who have put up with my obsession. ---Other--- You may distribute this level as long as every thing is INTACT and UNMODIFIED.
